AI services specialist ESTsoft (CEO Jeong Sang-won) and foreign language education specialist YBM (CEO Heo Mun-ho) announced on the 29th that they had signed a business agreement on the 26th to develop AI humans specialized in foreign language education.
With this agreement, ESTsoft and YBM agreed to jointly produce AI humans specialized in foreign language education and to cooperatively commercialize them.
In particular, both companies agreed that subtle and various physical expressions such as facial expressions, voice, intonation, and hand gestures have a sensitive effect on learners in a foreign language learning environment and shared the opinion that the introduction of AI humans would positively impact maximizing learning effects.
ESTsoft will receive various types of data such as videos and texts provided by YBM to produce AI humans in the future.
The agreement ceremony was held at the ESTsoft headquarters. Jeong Sang-won, the CEO of ESTsoft, Heo Mun-ho, the CEO of YBM, and business division heads and related personnel from both companies attended the event.
YBM CEO Heo Mun-ho said, "I am very pleased to be able to collaborate with ESTsoft, which has the top-level virtual human technology in Korea," and "YBM will not spare active support for the development of AI humans, and will also continue to invest in the advanced work of the overall foreign language education system."
ESTsoft CEO Jeong Sang-won said, "One of the industries where great innovation can occur with virtual humans is indeed education," and "I am very pleased to work on such an important project with YBM, a leading domestic education company." He added, "We will actively utilize the know-how we have accumulated in producing virtual humans in the education industry to successfully implement this AI human as well."
