AI service specialist company ESTsoft (CEO Jung Sang-won) announced on the 6th that CTO Kwon Taek-soon (Chief Technology Officer) received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT for his contribution to the development of artificial intelligence technology in South Korea at the 'SW Sector R&D Excellence and Merit Awards Ceremony'.

CTO Kwon Taek-soon has made a significant contribution to the development of artificial intelligence software technology in South Korea for over 20 years, from his time as an AI researcher at Seoul National University in 1999 to the present.

In particular, he has successfully carried out various national projects to lay the foundation for the development of South Korea's AI industry, including ▲creation of an intelligent information industry infrastructure, ▲development of core technologies for the AI industry, and ▲construction of AI training data sets. At the same time, he proved his research and development capabilities by winning the grand prize three years in a row, in 2020, 2021, and 2022, at the 'AI Grand Challenge' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Moreover, he has led the development and successful commercialization of ESTsoft's AI virtual human and has inspired many academics by publishing a manuscript in the academic journal issued by the Korea Information Science Society on the topic of the 'deep learning generation model used to produce AI news anchors'. He continues to actively contribute towards the advancement of South Korea's AI technology.
