AI service specialist ESTsoft (CEO Jung Sang-won) announced on the 2nd that it has signed a contract with Getty Images Korea (CEO Park Geon-won), the world's largest stock content company, for a Frida Kahlo photo exhibition using AI virtual human technology.

Frida Kahlo is a world-famous artist called Mexico's national treasure, and this is the first time her original photos have been introduced in Korea.

Getty Images Korea owns the licensing rights for the digital data of Frida Kahlo's portraits and the pictures she painted, which are introduced at this photo exhibition. The photo exhibition features works by about 20 photographers and media art reinterpreted works, with Made in View (CEO Choi Seong-jin) as an organizer.

With this contract, ESTsoft will now exhibit Frida Kahlo's iconic photos and paintings as moving pieces in the exhibition. Through this, meeting AI, it gives the audience, who visit the exhibition, greater inspiration by showing the lively appearance and works of Frida Kahlo as if they were alive.

Specifically, the company has upgraded its AI-generated video and motion-retargeting technology and super-resolution to combine and implement motion in the digital photos and work images of Frida Kahlo, which Getty Images Korea owns the IP. Both companies also plan to jointly promote the exhibition licensing business utilizing this.

With this, ESTsoft has materialized its newly proposed AI business, 'AI Image,' following 'AI virtual human' and 'AI glasses virtual fitting commerce.' This achievement was made in less than just two months since signing the business agreement with Getty Images Korea in November.

Currently, ESTsoft has started producing exhibits to be shown at the photo exhibition and plans to introduce them at Hyundai Department Store Trade Center from February. The Frida Kahlo photo exhibition will continue until March 26th.

Furthermore, with this contract as a starting point, both companies agreed to explore possibilities for motion-implementation and adding voices to well-known figures and artwork provided by Getty Images Korea, such as 'Marilyn Monroe', 'Vincent Van Gogh', 'Albert Einstein', and to expedite extending these into services such as media art exhibitions. They are especially exploring the possibility of doing similar-format exhibitions abroad.

ESTsoft's CEO Jung Sang-won stated, "As a business model that maximizes the synergy between both companies has been quickly established, we have greater expectations for the future," and "ESTsoft's continued push for new AI businesses like virtual human will yield tangible results starting this year, extending not only in the B2B but also in the B2C business area."

Meanwhile, the virtual human market, which ESTsoft is pursuing as a new AI business, is attracting global attention for its very high growth potential. The global market research firm Emergen Research also forecasts that the global virtual human market will grow to $527.58 billion (about 700 trillion KRW) by 2030.
