AI service specialist company ESTsoft (CEO Jung Sang-won) announced on the 14th that it provided AI Human technology to the KBS Liberation Day special documentary 'The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed (working title)'.

'The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed' is a documentary that reexamines the meaning of Korea's liberation through the national flower, the Rose of Sharon, and will be broadcast on August 15th at 11 am via KBS 1TV.

In this documentary, the images of three independence activists 'Yu Gwan-Sun', 'Yun Bong-Gil', and 'Namgoong Ok' brought to life with ESTsoft's AI Human technology are drawing attention. This is because AI learned the few remaining photos of independence fighters and inferred various expressions and subtle movements to create moving images.

To do this, ESTsoft extracted refined data that AI could learn from the existing images with little information. Thereafter, using this data, the AI was trained to detect facial landmarks, and after the training process, the AI produced images of detailed areas such as eyes, nose, and mouth, creating various expressions and movements.

The three independence activists implemented as AI Humans play a role in throwing a topic within the documentary by speaking with their own voices. In other words, they aimed to rekindle the meaning of liberation by asking whether the Rose of Sharon, which they cherished as much as their lives, is still loved in today's South Korea.

ESTsoft participated in this documentary production to show that AI Human, a technology that creates social value, can be utilized, and explained the background of the technical support.
