The names of the AI anchors are a male 'Y-GO' and a female 'Y-ON'. Each name utilizes the broadcasting terms and words 'GO' and 'ON', which mean a new start and challenge. Their nicknames are 'Goni' and 'Oni'.
'Y-GO' and 'Y-ON' are not real people. They are created using ESTsoft's 'AI Persona' technology to embody the image of YTN, which is one of the advanced AI human creation technologies ESTsoft has developed. The companies focused on creating a trustworthy image when producing the AI anchors.
In addition, both companies strived to produce high quality AI anchors that meet the broadcasting company's video quality standards. 'Y-GO' and 'Y-ON', created in ESTsoft's AI human creation studio, can support up to 4K resolution and are designed for ease of various direction, including frontal and side profiles. Considering the reporting environment where the AI anchors will be active, various angles have been prepared, such as open studio, fast news delivery shots, and microphone shots.
The main activity stage for the two AI anchors will be news programming. Currently, they are in preparation for their active roles in various news programs of YTN, including breaking news. ESTsoft plans to expand the scope of the AI anchors' activities to include roles as AI human agents in education, seminars, corporate events, and internal broadcasts in the future.
